Acrylic

Overview

Acrylic refers to a polymer derived from esters such as acrylic acid or methacrylic acid. It does not discolor even when exposed outdoors, and it has good chemical resistance and excellent electrical insulation properties.

·Extruded Acrylic – Produced by extrusion using pure raw materials, ensuring consistent thickness.

·Cast Acrylic – Available in a variety of thicknesses and colors, and easy to process.

Features

-Transparency

Light transmittance is about 92%, with high hardness and excellent surface gloss.

-Strength

Over 16 times stronger than glass.

-Impact Resistance

Lightweight yet stronger in impact resistance than tempered glass.

-Temperature

As a thermoplastic resin, deformation begins at 85°C.

Soluble in ketones, esters, and chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Applications

Furniture, lighting, covers, various signs, nameplates, display stands, aquariums, outdoor structures, etc.
